The government of NY State has chosen to ban grocery stores for using / giving out single use plastic grocery bags.  This decision will inconvenience large numbers of people in NY State.  This decision was based on erroneous information and done falsely in the name of environmental protection.

Plastic grocery bags are a functionally superior way of carrying groceries,  They can also be reused for many purposes.  They're very often used as garbage bags.  People will now have to go out an buy plastic garbage bags where they used to use the plastic bags that were included in the price of their grocery purchases.  So now, in addition to having to pay for grocery bags, they will have to pay for other bags to be used for other purposes

We want the legislation implementing this ban reversed.
