At its May 9th meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution declaring June 2019 as Pride Month in CVUSD. This petition is asking Principals at all 13 schools in Castro Valley Unified School District to raise the Rainbow Pride Flag for the month of June, as a way to recognize this resolution. Doing so will send a powerful message to LGBTQ students, staff and community members; all are welcomed in our shared community.

Flags will be provided by Castro Valley Pride, a local non-profit that advocates for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning folks.
