Why this petition matters

Started by Natalie Page

As survivors of domestic abuse we find that when we enter the family court system our experiences with domestic abuse are at best ignored and at worst condoned by the court who seek to uphold contact orders or residence orders putting women and children directly in harms way.

A public inquiry needs to happen to pave the way for justice for survivors and child victims of abuse and shine the light of transparency and scrutiny where it belongs.

The family court operate with impunity and little scrutiny as to what is actually happening behind the closed doors of the courts. Thousands of children have been abused as a result of family court decisions and it allows abusers to continue abuse post separation through the court system.

Please sign and share this important issue to get a public inquiry into this most barbaric of systems for domestic abuse survivors everywhere! It's time they were held to account!
