Sia has announced she is directing a movie about an autistic woman, and claims she wants to represent the #ActuallyAutistic community; yet has been ignoring and bashing our concerns about the movie.

Some problems this movie has include but are not limited to; her going to Autism Speaks for support, despite the group being known to harm Autistic people, did not hire an actual autistic woman to play the role because she thinks it would be “unjust” despite several autistic actors saying it wouldn’t be, and playing the victim when she is called out on her ableist language and actions in regards to the autistic community.

This is making a mockery of us, and should not make it past the trailer. Now is the time to show you actually care about us, and sign the petition.
