To: United Nations Secretary General

In the name of the civil non-governmental organizations in the Syrian Arab Republic, we are addressing you for an urgent humanitarian request, asking you to use all of your powers and exert your best efforts to revoke the unilateral compulsory economic measures falsely called: USA and some Western governments Sanctions on the Government of Syrian Arab Republic and the Syrian people. Now in the time of International pandemic of CORONA Virus COVID-19, and following ten years of resources bleeding, such economic sanctions make the pains even worse. It is a humanitarian crime just to keep silence about such sanctions.

Civil Society Organizations in Syria trust that you can play an effective role in convincing these sates to cancel what they claim about the sanctions, and quit an action violates the UN Charter, especially the sanctions related the health care sector, the very essential sector in fighting the pandemic.

Humanity looks up to you Mr. Secretary General in this, a matter that no one can underestimate its urgency.

Civil Society Organizations in Syria are not just expressing the attitudes of all bodies at the civil society, rather we are expressing the solidified attitude of the whole Syrian people, and asking you and your organization to lead an effective announced initiative to start an immediate declared action to stop the pains of millions of Syrians.
