Clinical Healthcare professionals coming to the UK to support NHS & the Private Care Sector must quarantine at a hotel at a cost to those organisations (£1750)

The NHS must also pay for 2 Covid tests costing £210

Previously the NHS and other care providers were arranging accommodation and testing themselves at a much lower cost and with less hassle.

I would like to petition the government to grant exemption to overseas healthcare staff coming into the NHS and the Private Healthcare Sector from the hotel quarantine as well as paying for the covid testing that they would already be subject to as care workers.

The Government have a target to recruit 50,000 overseas nurses for the NHS.

A large number of these nurses will arrive in the coming months and the cost of testing and quarantine for the NHS will run into the millions

The success of this petition would save the NHS a large sum of money that could be better served helping our communities.
