Recently certain occurrences within the r/radioheadcirclejerk community have brought great division and sadness to a once fair, equitable, and kind community. A community that did not discriminate or disrespect. A community that stood by its members, and that allowed for creativity and humour. But that community is now engaging in banning members who have contributed (specifically in recent history) to the glory of this sub, keeping it active and alive. We believe in accountability, and forcing people to take into consideration their actions, but we have been given no explanation into the bans. Members have been banned, unbanned, and then banned again. Most Permanently. Is this not despotism? 

I am a rather un-noteworthy member of this sub. I'm not absurd and funny like cumyorke, nor active and dramatic like echoecho, nor long term like many of the banned members. But my heart broke when Svwood was banned. I know Svwood well enough to say she has been a very kind, mature member of the sub, discord they made, and overall person.

 Oh of course I recognise this is all on the internet, none of its real, it doesn't have real life consequence. But it's about the principle. So many people have been banned for no reason, other than one could surmise, associating with svwood. 

 

So what are my demands? 

 

1. Immediately unban Svwood69 and any and all members that have been banned in the recent spate of bannings. 

 

2. Provide an explanation into the bannings. 

 

3. Pledge to engage in transparent, fair, and equitable moderetorship in the future.

I am providing a 24 hours window to make good on these demands. I am not threating but requesting. Please prove you are fair moderators, don't fall into the "bad moderators" stereotype.
