With the news of Premier League postponement, due to coronavirus, the Fantasy Premier League site have now released an update outlining how they will move forward with the game.

Considering the amount of people that play the game globally and how much time is dedicated over the course of a season to achieve something, depending on your targets and aspirations, it seems wholly unfair that the FPL game is largely doing nothing and letting anything that was done prior to the GW30 deadline/prior to this announcement stand.

If you have taken hits and played chips these will stand and will have a large impact on your game play moving forward. For example, I have a -4 which will stand and count in my H2H clash, a -4 shouldn't have an outcome of 100% loss for unforeseen circumstances such as this IMO. I've worked too hard/sacrificed too much (nerd alert, yes I know) to be top of my H2H for it to be potentially nicked from me due to this guaranteed loss that I face this week, which could be just enough to derail my title tilt. In my eyes, this L just wouldn't be in the spirit of the game.

For others who have used a chip. If FPL do grant an additional WC, or unlimited transfers before the next GW if the league restarts, then all that does is give everyone the same favourable standpoint. Which is not so favourable at all for people looking to gain an edge with a chip activated this week, especially when in reality the way that everyone has played until now has been unique and everyone would've been in different positions of strength.

I think if the premier league is postponed so should FPL and changes made before GW 30 should be reset and the game should resume when the competition resumes.
