Santander have announced their intention to close their branch in Wibsey Village. We the undersigned call upon the company to rethink this decision and keep this well used bank branch open.

It is the only bank left in the village and is vital to businesses and individuals in the community. Its closure will have severe economic and social consequences for local people. We believe that the company has a responsibility to consider the social impact of their decision as well as the economic impact on the local community.

We call upon the company to withdraw the threat of closure and to meet with local people and businesses to discuss ways to secure the future of this important village amenity.
