Douglas County Attorney, Don Kleine, was presented with evidence of the murder of James Scurlock that occurred during a protest in Omaha, NE Saturday evening, May 30th.

Video evidence provided during a press conference on Monday, June 1st shows an elderly man (father of murderer) escalating a confrontation which had turned violent outside of The Gatsby bar in downtown Omaha. During this confrontation, the murderer brandished a weapon and fired two shots in the area of #BlackLivesMatter protestors. In response to this Mr. Scurlock appears to attempt to disarm the murderer to prevent violence, where then a fatal shot to the clavical was then taken.

Don Kleine, we had one. simple. request. Charge this individual with murder and let a jury decide the defendant's fate.

The County Attorney, Don Kleine, has written a narrative of self defense for this murderer. Us as a community cannot allow the victim, James Scurlock, to receive injustice. ESPECIALLY in the social climate we experience today.

We ask that Don Kleine immediately resign from his position as he is clearly unfit to take make sound decision in a time where we absolutely need resolution.
