We have watched, marched, fought for policies, etc. yet still for centuries our people have been misrepresented and mistreated by the same laws set to “protect & serve” the many. The comments made by the city’s Mayor, @nycmayor & Nypd police commissioner @nypdshea following their officers instigating and inciting violence with, VIDEO EVIDENCE, are completely UNACCEPTABLE. They did not uphold their integrity and oath to protect we the people of this city. I call for @nygovcuomo & @officialnycdoe to defund the NYPD and take them off school premises IMMEDIATELY. Help us by signing our petition so that we can call for the much needed accountability of Nypd. Students deserve a safe and nurturing environment when in school. Parents expect their students to be safe while attending a public school. These are not the faces or ignorance we’d want any student to come into contact with. If the Governor and the NYC Department of education doesn’t uphold they are showing us that politics are more important than upholding their integrity to create a safe and peaceful learning environment for all students.
