Why this petition matters

Started by Brian Pomerantz

I am asking LEGO to un-retire the Modular Buildings collection, one or two at a time, and try to keep them in stock, so that kids nowadays can play with them.

LEGO started a Modular Buildings collection in 2007. Of the 16 Modular Buildings, only 4 are currently available. I was not even born until 2010. When many of these sets came out, I was not old enough to get them. If anything, I was probably still trying to see if Duplos were food or not.

The Modular Buildings collection is meant to be a town setup where the buildings attach to each other, but most of the buildings are retired. On the second-hand market, the prices are ridiculously high. LEGOs are already expensive enough, therefore paying 2-5 times the original price stops kids like me from being able to get them and enjoy them. Kids like me have missed out on some really cool ones, like Fire Brigade (September 2009) and Town Hall (March 2012).  But there is a solution to this problem. Lego, I am asking you to un-retire the Modular Buildings collection, one or two at a time, and try to keep them in stock. Then after 3-4 years, retire them once again. I am not asking you to change them at all! In fact, I am asking you NOT to change them at all. I just want you to un-retire them so kids today can have a chance to play with the whole town. I just want kids like me who never knew that these sets existed until too late to have a chance to enjoy the wonders in the Modular Buildings collection.
