One Family Church is in the process of acquiring the Tivoli, a historic theater in St. Louis' Delmar Loop. (Reporting innaccurately indicated the sale was finalized but that will not happen until June.) The church has stated they intend to continue operating the space as a theater. After numerous inquiries, they have refused to answer whether they will continue to show LGBTQ+ films and hosting LGBTQ+ events and festivals.

Their refusal to answer any questions related to their policies on LGBTQ+ films has caused reasonable and valid concerns that they intend to prohibit future screenings and events that are LGBTQ+ supportive. There is also a 2014 sermon from the head pastor, Brent Roam, that plainly states the church does not condone or support homosexuality or gay marriage: Link

We do not want to force this church to change their beliefs. However, if they're going to to run a historic theater open to the public we believe they have a responsibility to treat all communities equally regardless of the tenets of their faith.

We ask that One Family Church either commits publicly to continuing to show LGBTQ+ films at the Tivoli or publicly confirms that they will not be doing so. In the latter case we oppose the sale and ask that a buyer that will be inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community be found instead.

The Tivoli is a historic theater that should be a welcoming place to everyone and should continue to show films that represent every community in St. Louis.
