Ask Governor Cuomo to sign Senate bill 7295 / Assembly bill 9595 which will protect Jamaica Bay from any attempt to place contaminated fill into the deep portions of the bay ( and there are many of these so called "borrow pits"). This bill will finally protect Jamaica Bay from the many attempts to save money by placing fill in the bay that is expensive to place elsewhere due to its contaminated nature. Governor Cuomo Vetoed this bill last year. Tell him to sign it this year and Protect Jamaica Bay.
