Balrothery is not served properly by a Local Bus Service. Currently, the only option to get from Balrothery Inn to Balbriggan Main Street is the 101, this is a national long haul bus route and not suitable for hop on hop off use. The 101 only serves the centre of Balbriggan town and not any other extremities like Millfield, Castlemill, Derham Park, Fancourt, Train Station or secondary schools like Ardgillan CC or Breamor ET.

Balrothery has grown expediently in the past 10 years and we need to be easily able to access the shops, facilities, schools, business around Balbriggan and also link to the main commuter services that depart Balbriggan including the Train Station.

It would be fantastic to focus this petition on getting the existing 33 Bus service to extend its route and come through Balrothery and back to Balbriggan. This would facilitate kids in secondary schools in Balbriggan, shopping and retail access for many Balrothery residents. The link with Skerries Rush and Lusk too would be useful.
