Why this petition matters

Started by Committee LAQPG

If the Biffa waste incinerator proposed at Junction 23 of the M1 - Loughborough becomes operational it will emit gases and particulates that are harmful to human health. The Loughborough Air Quality Protection Group (LAQPG) has formed to campaign on behalf of residents, students, athletes and employees who live, study, train, compete and work in the area that will be subjected to the emissions from the incinerator. The incinerator will emit (amongst other toxins) deadly PM2.5 particulates for which the World Health Organisation states "There is no safe limit".
