Since August 2018 Tasmanians have been able to view Sky News ;After Dark; on channel 83 via WIN Television. It enabled Tasmanians to get a conservative view on current affairs, a view which none of the other channels provided... least of all the publicly funded ABC/SBS organisations. It is with great dismay that on August 01 2021 this service ceased. Not only are Tasmanians denied this channel, but to add insult to injury it has been replaced with quite infantile and abhorrent 'reality tv shows' which are cheap to make and in many cases completely fake. If anybody wants to watch those kind of offerings then they are are already well catered for with the other free to air channels. I, and I know many, many others request that the contracts be renegotiated so that once again Tasmanians will be able to get access to Sky News on free to air television.
