沼津市内の小学校に子供を通わせている保護者からのおねがいです。
過日文部科学省から学校再開との声明と指針が出されましたが、ご存じの通り新型コロナウイルスの国内および世界での感染者は、３月の休校開始時とは比べものにならないほど増加しています。

本日これをまとめている現時点で沼津市内で感染者は確認されてはいませんが、隣接市町村でも出ていますし、そもそも国をまたぎ全世界に蔓延しているウイルスの影響力を、住民登録のある地域単位で測ること自体、もはや難しいのではないかとも感じています。

沼津市が《休校を延長する》と決断することは、私立の小中学校、幼稚園、保育園、県東部の他市町村などにも多大な影響を及ぼすことと存じます。子供達の学力面や運動不足などに対する不安や、友達と会えないことを親として不憫に思うきもち、働く保護者の方への対応など、課題があることも承知しております。しかしそれらもすべて、命があればこその話だと思うのです。

世界では、新型コロナウイルスに感染した若年層が重症化するケースが相次いでいて、ベルギーやイギリスでは10代前半の若者が亡くなるケースも出ていると聞きます。

このままでは、安心して子供達を学校に送り出すことはできません。どうかどうか、一刻も早く休校の延長をご決断いただけませんでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。

お願いしたいこと：

１休校措置の延長をおねがいします。

２家庭学習を進めるため、新学期用の教科書、ノートの配布をおねがいします。

３プリント物の自宅送付、オンライン授業など何らかの対応策をおねがいします。

This is a request from us parents and guardians whose child goes to public elementary schools in the city of Numazu.

The other day, the guideline and statement from the Ministry of Education stated that the schools will be resuming from the new school year. But as you are all aware, number of those infected with COVID-19 has increased enormously domestic and worldwide compared to the period back in the beginning of the school closure in March.

At this moment there has been no report yet of the infection in Numazu, but in the neighboring cities there has been reports, and it feels it’s beyond the limit of each communities to grasp the influence of this virus that is already affecting the whole world.

If the decision to extend the closure of schools is made by Numazu, we understand it will have an impact on private elementary schools, junior high schools, kindergartens, day cares and nurseries, and to the neighboring cities and towns. We understand there are many tasks to tackle, to how to help the worry for the children missing the school studies and lack of exercise, parents feeling pitiful for their children not being able to see their friends, and how to help the families with parents working. But above is all because there are the healthy lives of each individual.

There are successive cases in the world where the young people that are infected with the virus are in serious conditions, and in Belgium and in U.K., there are cases that young teens have passed away.

We cannot send our children in security with the ongoing situation. Would you please make your decision as quickly as possible to postpone the school closure.

Our requests are：

１Please extend the school closure measure.

２To be able to continue the studies at home, please distribute the new school year textbooks and notebooks.

３Please send worksheets and handouts home, and work on setting up online studies environment.
