Save the Hoboken Waterfront!
Save the Hoboken Waterfront!
Why this petition matters
Help us save our beautiful Hoboken waterfront!
Our dream of a continuous public waterfront is at risk! The public waterfront park that was originally planned at 15th Street is now at risk of becoming another high-rise condo development. The developer, Shipyard Associates, promised to build out a public pier on this site as a give-back for the right to build the Shipyard Complex. After making millions from the massive Shipyard project, they reneged on their promise and are now planning to build the 2-tower 'Monarch Condominiums' instead.
This construction would not only limit access to our beautiful waterfront, but it would also place significant strain on the city's infrastructure and municipalities. We deserve the public waterfront promised to us and the Mayor and City Council need our support.
Please sign this petition now to make your voice heard. By signing this petition, you are asking Mayor Bhalla and the City Council to find a solution that will protect our waterfront and stop Project Monarch.
