My name is Dante Hawkins , Former United States Marine and also had the honor of serving with Dante Jones. Today I demand accountability for the murder of Mr. Jones 

 On November 18th , 2019  Dante’s life was taken from him.  We , the people demand a investigation of the Deputies involved Cody Quantrell & Andrew Gardner as they did not use the proper escalation of force or Rules Of Engagement, Failure to have any type of camera ( dash camera, body camera ) recording during the incident, disobedience to orders given by Sgt Thomasston stating to “ Stop the pursuit “  in the sensless murder of Dante Jones. Dante should be alive today if it was not for the abuse of power and exhibited by the Franklin County Sheriffs Department. The deputies involved must face consequences for this murder in order to provide his family with justice and prevent further cops from committing brutal acts of violence against our communities.

In addition, I demand that we start providing more support towards community efforts and organizations outside of the police forces in order to prevent police brutality and violence in the future. 

Mr. Jones did not deserve to die that night, he was man that loved helping others before himself. He was a man that served his country and did 2 Combat tours. He was man that believed everybody was equal and should be treated fairly. I guess the deputies who were called onto the scene did not carry that same mindset. His friends, his family, and the people who loved him, demand not only justice, but the truth on what really happened on November 18th, 2019.
