Two weeks ago, our family’s beloved dogs, Maddie & Mason, were taken from us by the City of Santa Barbara. Upon opening the gate and entering our yard, a neighbor was bitten. It could not be ascertained which dog did the biting so the City wants to execute BOTH Maddie & Mason. Neither of these dogs have any bite record, they are walked 4 - 8 miles daily, and are very well behaved and lovingly cared for. It’s heartbreaking going through this knowing that our dogs don’t deserve this.

We had the administrative hearing on 2/20 and are awaiting the decision.  If the City decides to go forward with the executions, we will appeal it to the Superior Court. The City has already deemed Maddie & Mason as "Vicious Dogs"  and has impounded them pending our appeals.

We would love your support in stopping the City of Santa Barbara from killing our canine family members.  We are so sad this has happened – but feel that our dogs were simply protecting us and don’t deserve to die.  Please sign this petition so that we can show the judge how much support we have from our friends in the community.
