Re-Open Motocross Tracks Responsibly
Re-Open Motocross Tracks Responsibly
Why this petition matters
We understand there is a major effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Riders get many physical and mental health benefits from riding Motocross and we feel that should be allowed to continue. The business of running Motocross tracks has been deemed non-essential however our riders do not fit into a box as described by the Governor of California. Every rider wears helmet, goggles, gloves and other protective wear while on the track.
Currently the city only has a couple complaints and daily calls from the track manager to help them understand the positive efforts, precautions and steps we are able to take to operate safely.
Steps we can take include but are not limited to; not allow spectators, photographers or trainers (reduces attendance by 50%), require all to wear a face mask while not riding, having a licensed EMT on site, everyone parks minimum social distancing requirement apart or greater, provide staff with PPE (face masks, gloves disinfectant wipes, etc), add hand wash stations throughout the facility, close all bleacher areas, increase cleanings to bathrooms, phase in a reopening slowly increasing the number of riders allowed in a session over time as the virus becomes less of a threat, postpone events for etc...
Please sign this petition to support the opening of motocross tracks and let the powers that be know there is a much larger group that are for opening tracks than there are people wanting tracks to close down...
Thank you
