Why this petition matters

Started by Mauricio Sanchez

Police are abusing their rights and breaking the law by falsely arresting many Hispanic immigrants, legal or illegal. Not only Hispanics are targeted, but people of color are also being targeted as well. Many don’t have a voice, either because they are illegal or they fear of being deported to their country. Most of the immigrants come hear for a better life. Because their country maybe in war, have a lot  of violence drug and sex trafficking, or their country may be very poor and many job opportunities.

Their has never been a school shooting or Terrorist attack done by a Mexican or any other hispanic race. Recently on the news a story about a father and daughter that drowned pop up. The father in question is named, Oscar Alberto Martínez and the daughter is named Valeria. Most of the families that come here to the U.S are separated! They come here for a better life not to be separated as soon as they arrive here.

I personally am Mexican but I was born here my parents are Mexican and were born in Mexico City but came here with in 2002. In the 17 years they have been in the U.S they have never been arrested, pull over, or done anything illegal. And many immigrants probably can relate. Many of Hispanics work outside everyday and work very hard. Most of them have their own company and make a lot of money.

Police be shooting innocent people for nothing! Dragging people of color and/or Hispanics out of their cars and abusing them! This needs to stop!!
