Let's get a Pump Track built in Brighton
Let's get a Pump Track built in Brighton
Why this petition matters
This petition is to show support and to prove that there is a genuine local need for a Pump Track in Brighton.
The new pump track will be a free-to-use, safe, inclusive and family orientated sports facility for users of all ages. Professionally designed constructed by a company selected by the council and with design input from local bike riders, skaters and scooter riders.
Pump Tracks are proven to increase health, well-being, community cohesion whilst reducing social exclusion and anti-social behaviour. The pump track will not only benefit it's users, it will enhance the city and will be an asset to the whole community.
The pump track will be used as a place to increase skill by coaching people, young and old to ride and skate, developing their skills and learning from other more skilled users. It will be linked to activities run in local schools to get children out and active, benefiting their physical and mental health in many well documented ways.
