# Pledge to use Microsoft Edge without Chrome Extension Manifest v3 ad-blocking prevention
Microsoft is using the Chrome framework to build their new Edge browser for multiple platforms. Google will soon change their Chrome implementation to prevent users from blocking any and all network requests made by their browser to advertising and tracking servers. This will be a problem for the many, many users who employ such blocking measures.
So, if Microsoft decides to leave users in control of network requests made by the users own computer and if they also leave users in control of all other computing resources used by their browser, I pledge to use the Microsoft Edge browser on my preferred platform.
Other browsers do exist beside Chrome and Edge, but I want a Chrome fork that is maintained by a serious investor and I believe that is Microsoft.
