So many hits, you name them. Good Times, We Are Family, I'm Coming Out, Everybody Dance, He's The Greatest Dancer, Le Freak, Upside Down, Lost In Music, I Want Your Love, to name the most popular ones. True hymns of its times.

Chic is one of the greatest bands of all times, we all know that. With this in mind, Chic deserve to be into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. This is not something new. Chic have been nominated for 'The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame', 11 times: 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2017, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Nile Rodgers for Musical Excellence. We can not leave Chic and Bernard out of this.

Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers composed, arranged, performed, and produced not only their band Chic's albums but many influential disco and R&B records, from Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Carly Simon, Debbie Harry, Sheila B. Devotion and Norma Jean Wright.

The Chic Organization Ltd had a huge impact and influence on R&B, which helped developed its own sound and style, with the most sophisticated ballads and dance music. It would come to stay, as James Brown's Funk did, becoming part of the DNA on the modern music heritage line to be heard later on in hip-hop, house music and dance music. Not only that, it would cross-over influencing other genres.

The Sugarhill Gang used "Good Times", one of the most influential songs of the era, as the basis for its success "Rapper's Delight", which helped initiate the hip hop recorded music format that is known today. "Good Times" was used also by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five on its hit "The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel". ''Chic was cited as an influence by many successful bands from Great Britain during the 1980s. John Taylor, the bassist from Duran Duran claims the bass part of their top 10 single "Rio" was influenced by Edwards' work with Chic. Johnny Marr of The Smiths has cited the group as a formative influence. Rodgers' guitar work has been so emulated as to become commonplace, and Edwards' lyrical bass is also much-cited in music circles, as is Thompson's recorded drumwork. Chic also influenced the Italian-American disco band Change, with a series of successes during the early 80s, like ''The Glow of Love'' and "A Lover's Holiday". The French duo Modjo used the guitar sample from Chic's "Soup for One", as the basic theme for their single, "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)".'' Wiki
