Demand Partnership Centre for Winchburgh
Demand Partnership Centre for Winchburgh
Why this petition matters
West Lothian Council has reneged on the promise of a Partnership Centre for the rapidly growing Winchburgh community. This will affect every resident of the village who will now have less access to healthcare, a local police force, community spaces and much more. (For example, the recently built East Calder Partnership Centre has a library, community centre, public access to IT, Advice shop and changing facilities).
As a community we ask West Lothian Council (WLC) and their partners to reverse their decision and provide Winchburgh with our owed Partnership Centre. In the event that the Partnership Centre is not built we ask WLC, Lothian Health Board and Police Scotland to brief the community of Winchburgh on exactly how a town of 10,000+ people are to be provided with the necessary community services.
Winchburgh Community Council asks that all members of the community sign, share and promote this petition. It is vital that we are given the access to healthcare and community provisions for a town of over 10,000. The current Winchburgh facilities will not be able to service our growing community adequately and as a result, all residents will suffer.
