As a lifelong citizen of Pike County, Ohio, I implore that action be taken to reinstate our elected sheriff.  Although facing charges,  ( that the majority of voters have deemed to be bogus & trumped up), Sheriff Charles Reader has NOT been found guilty,  nor has he pled guilty to any felony charges.  The safety of our community has incurred massive damages and has recently been compared to the wild west as a result of men in power,  abusing their given rights.  We the people of pike county,  respectfully ask for your intervention before it's too late.  Our crime level has climbed, alarmingly since our sheriff was placed in administrative leave and it's only getting worse.  There remains absolutely no police presence since our elected sheriff was forced to step down.  The corruption in our local government,  begs to be addressed.  We are pleading for assistance in restoring our sheriff to power and zeroing in on the bad apples that are rotting our community.  We have decided to appeal to you ourselves since our voices,  on the local level,  have repeatedly been ignored & silenced.  Thank you for your consideration in this urgent matter!
