Why this petition matters

Started by Richard Becheley

Calling all saints fans to sign this petition. It’s about time Southampton F.C recognised the achievements of without doubt the clubs most successful manager.

Lawrie's CV speaks for itself, the only manager to win a major trophy , the clubs only one, taking us to Wembley 3 times, finishing a very close 2nd in the league behind Liverpool, signing arguably some of the biggest names and best players to ever play for the club, discovering Endless amounts of young talent who went on to have great careers with the club. The list is endless.

But for some reason the club refuse to recognise this, nothing is present at the stadium to honour Lawrie, no pictures anywhere, the only one was in the board room and chucked away by Rupert Lowe and replaced with a train picture !

Maybe a suite in his name? I find it hard to believe this has never happened, for years we even had a Terry Paine suite and a presidents suite. TP suite recently been given to the media/press.

Maybe a stand?

Maybe a statue?

Maybe even an official Ambassador Role !? Nope. Even though he is an ambassador.

The Foundation ask Lawrie for help on a regular basis, to attend events, meet fans and so on, to which he never says no.

His family would love The club to take action and give something back to Lawrie while he can appreciate it after his many years of effort, dedication and hard work.
