Deny the Boudreau Communities Ltd. application to amend the Oakmont Area Structure Plan and the Land Use Bylaw to construct two - 26 storey towers and one - 11 storey tower on the old Hole's farm land next to the Sturgeon river. 

The Shops of Boudreau and Botanica I seniors condos have led to traffic congestion at the intersection of Boudreau and Bellerose which affects local neighborhoods and countless commuters that take Boudreau instead of St. Albert Trail.  Botanica II which has yet to open will make a difficult situation worse.  Consider the consequences of adding towers to this problem?  

Residents in the mature neighborhoods of Oakmont, Erin Ridge, Inglewood, and Woodlands will be forced to accept darkness for considerable portions of their day.  Many of these long term taxpayers made the largest investment of their lives when they purchased their homes.  They won't be given the opportunity to opt out.  The value of seeing the sky, feeling the warmth of the sun, growing gardens, invaded privacy, etc... is not being taken into account.  

Adding three towers will tax citizens in the form of life hours lost in traffic, reduced property value, health in the forms of added pollution, stress, and reduced safety. 

Say no to amending the bylaw to build above 25 metres.
