Open the borders in stages: Let temporary visa holders enter Australia and Restart 'pre-Covid-19' Australian Migration Program. Think about the 'future Australians too'

Undoubtedly the Covid-19 crisis turned EVERYTHING upside down and the Australian Government is on the verge of a new era with a major task at hand. As many countries are creating an 'exit strategy' to restarting their country again immigration can't be overlooked. Of course there is plenty to say about the growing unemployment rates and reshaping the migration program. However there are tens of thousands offshore applicants waiting for many months even years to have there application being assessed. Not to mention that every single applicant took months and some years to gather and apply for certain documents needed to submit their application in the first place. Yet the worst part is - with the sudden halt of visa processing and no rays of hope in the foreseeable future for offshore applicants - all these documents are now slowly losing its validity as police clearances and health checks are only valid for one year.

We make a plea to Hon Scott Morrison MP and Hon. David Coleman MP to not forget all those people all over the world that applied to migrate or even got invited by that same government to migrate to Australia and remind you that we want: 
to be part of Australia even in hard times; 
to work and help a staggering economy growing again; 
to teach, shape and developing the educational system; 
to create jobs by starting businesses; 
to spend money by bringing in foreign savings while tourism stays out; 
to lease or buy property which prevent the housing market from crashing in; 
to live, nurture and thrive the local community; 
to pay taxes that contributes to the economic welfare and support jobseeker payouts; 
to be together with our loved ones, our friends, our co-workers;
to share the Australian values and their way of life.
We are not here to take Australian jobs, most of us have a job offer on hand in order to even be able invited to apply. 

We are not the virus! 

We urge you to come up with a streamlined plan to restart the migration program for applicants nominated or submitted their application before Covid-19 by the 1st of December. Keeping the borders shut for everyone is not the solution. People can be tested on departure, on arrival, people can be quarantined all at their own expense, allocate cities, times, numbers for us to fly in. We are not talking about an immigration process for a couple of months, a decision that has happened overnight, or people that like to visit Australia on a holiday. We are talking about future Australians!

All international travel cannot be measured up to the same standards. Migration is different from holiday makers! Open the borders in stages, as its unsustainable and ludicrous to open the international borders for all travel at once as it is to keep all borders shut for everyone till there is a vaccine. This is the time to include the stranded temporary visaholders and the 'pre-Covid-19-waiting-queue' in the national politics. This is the time to think of us 'future Australians' too.
