The Women’s World Cup got so many of us into women’s football for the first time. Now it’s time to carry this momentum forward. That’s why I’m calling for World Cup hero Megan Rapinoe to be on the cover of FIFA 20.

I’m a regular player of EA’s FIFA series. They are the best selling sports games ever, with over 250 million sales over the years. To put Megan Rapinoe on the next cover would send a clear message that the world of football is starting to give the women’s game a fair chance.

Rapinoe is not just a great player and a star at this World Cup, she has also become a role model for girls and boys all over the world for standing up to oppression off the pitch.

Although around one billion people watched the Women’s World Cup, the women’s prize money is just $30 million - compared to $400 million for the men. FIFA needs to change its policy on prize money, and more exposure of women's football will help achieve.

FIFA 20 is due for release at the end of September. If enough people sign this petition we can show EA that now is the time to give the women’s game a real chance. Please sign!
