Officer Derek chauvin was charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter for the May 25th 2020 death of George Floyd. However, upon autopsy of George Floyd's body it was determined that he was positive for Covid-19. At time of outbreak of covid-19, medical doctors and hospital administrators were ordered by federal and state governments to declare all deaths of patients with a positive covid test as a Covid Death". Therefore George Floyd's death should be declared a Covid Death and therefore officer Chauvin can NOT be the cause of George Floyd's death. Additionally, Floyd tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death. With the combination of covid, fentanyl, and meth and their medical affects on a human body, there's no doubt that they were the cause of Floyd's death, and NOT officer chauvins actions.
