Hoy en día, la ley española permite el incesto consensual en adultos (ACI) entre personas solteras pero no entre personas casadas. El incesto entre adultos que consienten es legal, pero la ley de matrimonio española discrimina a las personas en las relaciones de ACI al prohibirles que se casen aunque tengan hijos. Esto es injusto y perjudicial.
El lema nacional de España es 'Plus Ultra', (más allá). Aparentemente, esto está escrito en los azulejos de la pared de la habitación del vestuario de Mar-a-Lago, el retiro del presidente Trump en Florida. Un diccionario urbano dice, 'en esencia, significa ser todo lo que el mundo piensa que eres y más. Nunca dejes de escalar, alcanzar y ser increíble de una manera única '. Dado que las personas CIAO (orientadas a incidentes de adultos consensuales) no pueden casarse en España, mientras que otras minorías sexuales sí pueden, ¿por qué España no cumple con su lema y "va más allá" de su libertad limitada actual para CIAO y les otorga igualdad de matrimonio y ¿Permitir que la gente de CIAO se case? Las personas de CIAO pueden tener hijos y también deben estar protegidas y tener los mismos derechos legales que todos los demás. Las personas de CIAO y sus hijos no deben ser objeto de estigma social o incestofobia institucional y no se les debe negar los derechos que otras personas tienen en las relaciones adultas con adultos: el derecho a casarse y el derecho a tener una madre y un padre legalmente casados ​​el uno con el otro

Es posible que no todas las personas de la CIAO quieran casarse, pero se debe permitir a quienes lo deseen. Negarse a dejar que se casen es una violación de sus derechos civiles, y tratarlos como diferentes a otras personas es discriminarlos.

Como Fiscal General, inicie la reforma de la legislación española para que las personas de la CIAO que deseen casarse puedan hacerlo en el futuro.

Today, Spanish law allows adult consensual incest (ACI) between unmarried people but not between married people. Incest between consenting adults is legal, but Spanish marriage law discriminates against people in ACI relationships by forbidding them to marry even if they have children. This is unfair and harmful.

An urban dictionary says, 'in essence it means to be everything the world thinks you are and more. Never stop climbing, achieving, and being incredible in your own unique ways'. Since CIAO (Consensual Adult Incest Oriented) people cannot get married in Spain, while other sexual minorities can, why does Spain not live up to its motto, and 'go further beyond' its present limited freedom for CIAO and give them full marriage equality and allow CIAO people to marry? CIAO people can have children and they too must be protected and have the same legal rights as everyone else. CIAO people and their children should not be subjected to social stigma or institutional incestophobia and should not be denied rights that others have in adult relationships with adults: the right to marry, and the right to have a mother and to have a father who is legally married to each other.

Not all CIAO people may want to get married, but those who want it should be allowed. Refusing to let them get married is a violation of their civil rights, and to treat them as different from other people is to discriminate against them.

As Attorney General, please initiate the reform of Spanish legislation so that CIAO people who wish to get married will be able to do so in the future.
