RACISM & CORRUPTION?

Last year, my friend, a mother, found out she had several masses in her breast and to make matters worst, they discovered she also had multiple cyst on her lungs and severe breathing trouble. She had been in an ambulance and/or ER 13 times so far, while she awaited her prognosis. Fearful of losing her life and worried because she had to quit work, she relocated to Redding CA and in an attempt to downsize, she sought out various assistance from Redding/Shasta Health & Human Services, she had never had any assistance before but wanted to take preventative measures for her children in the event things were to go south for her health.

But unfortunately for her, she use to own and operate two businesses in her lifetime and had acrued some publicly documented success in her past, when members of HHS discovered that, even though she provided all her documentation and proofs of eligibility and is clearly ill, these people decided that she needed to be taunted and harassed instead. 

Her caseworker's notified all the heads in Shasta HHS of her past success and current state, Donnell Ewert, Joe Chimenti, Lawrence Lees, Stephanie Bridgett, Benjamin Hanna, Julie Winters, and this becomes a project to them to deny this woman of any and all assistance and make her life there hell, maybe it was jealousy or maybe it was her race, as Redding is predominantly white. When she visits these offices for set appointments, she is photographed, video taped, skipped in the line and spoken to disrespectfully. They even contact her old colleagues and make every effort to publicize her current health and financial state.

When we complain in writing, in phone calls, and in in-person, verbal pleas for mercy, things get worse.  She is prolonged for every application process, intentionally held up for housing assistance, she is denied all the assistance that is associated with the program directly but on paper they make it appear it was given to her. She is even told to sign a stack of receipts for services ahead of time, which she refuses, but we later learned they go ahead and forge her signatures to fabricate services she received for her file. Tormenting her and her children by making sure the files corroborate her actual eligibility and proper process, but she had never received it.

She is than hunted down by the Shasta District Attorney office investigators, under the guise of investigating her claims that they have read in her many letters for help, but it is just a rouse, when she reluctantly meets with them, she is threatened, herself and her belongings are searched and she is than informed that they are infact investigating her for Fraud. (Which is just a intimidation tactic). She is told that the DA office is contracted by HHS, and they do not prosecute them.

She is propositioned by a male caseworker, when she reports it to his supervisor and Redding Police, she immediately begins to receive private calls from Redding Police Officers asking where she is in a threatening manner, she calls the police station and speaks to a captain who listens and laughs and then hangs up on her repeatedly, she emails the chief of police twice, we finally learn from one of the investigators that they did investigate HHS and all her claims were substantiated, but he then informs her that they don't prosecute HHS, they are hired to protect them, he asks her to sign a document that confirms the visit.

But he loses concentration when he stares at her signature and she says, "it's not my signature you saw on all those receipts is it" , because  he had told her before that  "HHS gave you a lot of help" , but we had already told the DA  that HHS workers had tried to get her to pre-sign a stack of assistance receipts and that they may forged documents , she requested a copy of the report he mentioned from the Investigation and is told by one of the  Shasta DA Benjamin Hanna that he was denying her access to the report because it was being used as potential evidence in a crime. 

By this time she is literally living in her car, afraid to be stationary where they can pop up unannounced as they had done multiple times, the police or the DA investigators, for fear of being framed. She called the mayor and calls to local attorneys who barked at her and had clearly been informed of who she was and they followed suit with the corruption, the mayor later claims to launch another investigation and uses a longtime investigator that was friends with them all,  when she interviews my friend she is very mean to her, it's obvious who's side she is on, the county refused to use an independent investigator outside of the county.

Even with facts that pointed to something being seriously wrong, of course the investigator sides with the county and city, and when my friend contacts the Investigation licensing board she is scolded for  "causing problems in Redding", the investigator assigned was also acquaintances of Redding officials and appeared to had been in more correspondence with them. The board spoke to us for a total of 7 minutes and refused to share any details of the Investigation other than the case was closed for lack of evidence. Unable to believe this is all happening she sends a group email to the DA again and vows to get justice and tells them in a group email that she will never stop coming after them legally for what they have done to her and her children. She packs up her belongings and her children and fled Redding in the wee hours of the morning.

With calls from the police still coming to her cellphone periodically, trying to lure her to them or to reveal her location with the promise of releasing the Corruption report or arresting the people named above and she doesn't return and even leaves without her medical results from her physicians, too scared to visit them. The next day while stopped at a truck stop she decides to log on to the Shasta Court website and see if there had ever been any charges of corruption against the city in the past but instead she sees the city attorney had filed 9 restraining orders against her for harassment and threats, for reporting the corruption.

Keep in mind, if she had threatened them, she would be charged for a criminal case. But this was probably the foundation being laid to frame her or worse. (She never returned so they have never been served. Ironically, to date, eight are closed, and one is still open, still unserved, I guess if she ever returns, they were all filed in April, almost a year, one still open for what this long???? ) 

My friend filed CAL BAR complaints against the Shasta DA's office attorneys, and DOJ civil rights complaints against Shasta HHS employees and to date the CAL BAR association keeps closing the complaints, and DOJ has never responded. CAL BAR never contacted my friend and all her requests to speak to the investigators or to get updates that we initiated are never returned. We later learned that the Redding DA's were acquaintances of many of the Deputy Counsel members at CAL BAR and/or had attended same schools or worked in same firms at one point.

These people viciously, maliciously and  illegally violated this woman's civil rights, privacy, jeopardized her health and well being of her and her children, terrorizing them in a calculated, group effort to torment. She is still dealing with her health issues. This could've been you, your mother, your sister, your daughter, your friend ..... Let's stand up right now and demand justice!
