Give asylum to Christian refugees in the USA
Give asylum to Christian refugees in the USA
Why this petition matters
The federal government is allowing local jurisdictions to decide whether they will accept refugees. Refugees should be defined as those who are persecuted or terrorized, not people who are in control in their homelands. The United States is by law a secular nation, not a theocracy. Only those whose beliefs are compatible with a secular society should be given asylum. Throughout Africa and much of Asia Christians, Hindus, Jews, Zoroastrians, Buddhists and others are suffering horribly, aggressively persecuted by adherents to what they believe is a "master faith". America should accept as refugees only those who are persecuted by a theocracy, or agents and tools of such a theocracy and all others should be regarded simply as applicants for ordinary immigrant status. A free, secular nation cannot co-exist with adherents to a theocratic belief system. Show compassion to the persecuted.
