Somalia has been experiencing a humanitarian crisis for almost 30 years. Currently there are only 500 U.S. soldiers in the country. Al-Shabaab, a terrorist group associated with Al-Queda, is also currently in the country. They had control over the capital, Mogadishu, from 2006-2011 and have been trying to get control back ever since then. They also have committed many attacks against the citizens of Somalia and U.S. soldiers. We need more soldiers in Somalia to protect the citizens of the country from terrorists.
