Local residents of Old Heath and surroundings are constantly witnessing and reporting illegal angling of identified individuals at all local ponds, private and public.

Nevertheless the Environment Agency and Essex police repeatedly refuse to take action as appropriate even when they themselves catch them in action.

This has resulted in complete emptying of local ponds from fish stock, as it is continuously poached and cruel killing of waterbirds  both of which take place daily for months.

And no one cares. Not even the representatives of the affected ponds, National Trust, Colchester Borough Council and property management PMS who do not request the prosecution of those responsible. And allow them to act illegally in their property.

We are asking Angling Trust, who represents Anglers and protects legal fishing to take on board this serious case and pursue it until the illegal anglers and  unceasing attackers of our local ponds and their surroundings, including environment and wildlife are brought to court.
