The original version of Niantic’s game ‘Ingress’, now known as ‘Redacted’ is due to be retired, being replaced by a newer version, known as ‘Ingress Prime’.

Many of the original players of Redacted dislike the style of Ingress Prime and there are concerns amongst players that many of the game’s most valuable players and founders will simply stop playing once support for Redacted ends.

Original Redacted players have contributed massively to Niantic’s success, with Redacted providing the framework for the success of its subsequent games ‘Pokemon Go’ and ‘Harry Potter Wizards Unite’, with no doubt that others will follow in the future.

This petition therefore calls on Niantic to invest in a ‘Redacted-style’ skin for Ingress Prime - i.e an interface in Prime that looks just like that seen in Redacted. This would give many Redacted players what they crave most - something that resembles that platform that they feel most comfortable with; this would preserve Niantic’s player-base, and above all  else - demonstrate thanks and appreciation to the valued Redacted players of the Ingress community for the contributions that they have made. It seems that Redacted players would also be prepared to pay for such a skin, which means it can undoubtedly be cost-effective for Niantic too.  Please therefore invest in this option for the Redacted players (no doubt many Prime players would also enjoy such a skin!)
