An extension should be requested in order to hold a referendum for the public to decide whether or not to accept any deal Johnson agrees with the EU. Action should be taken on a majority view of 60% or more. One option should be to remain in the Single Market, if the Deal Johnson returns with is rejected.

This is the only democratic way forward. The government has no right, and absolutely no mandate, to impose this last minute deal/no deal on 65 million people without their agreement, or indeed their knowledge of what it actually incurs, which will be radically different from what was promised in the 2016 referendum.
