Recently in Kerala, a pregnant elephant who was about to give birth came across a village for food. The villagers, who knew she was pregnant due to her swollen belly, gave her a pineapple stuffed with firecrackers. The elephant ate the pineapple, and it exploded in her jaw and stomach. The mother elephant's jaw was broken and her fetus was killed. The elephant was in extreme pain and went to a nearby pond, where the villagers left her to die. This should be stopped before countless other species suffer from situations like this and die out. This action is downright cruel and should be considered animal abuse. I make this petition so that the innocent elephant and her unborn child can get justice and the inhuman perpetrators of this crime are punished.
