Why this petition matters

Started by Bernie Brennan

In Australia we do not yet have access to the PlayStation Now service.  For many of use this is the only way can easily access older generation PlayStation titles without paying exorbitant ebay pricing for beaten up physical copies.

I want to make sure that future generations grow up with the ability to experience and play games from the whole history of gaming, not just the latest games.  Gaming is an art form and PS Now acts as a gallery to those past experiences on the PlayStation platform.

Sony has already proven they have a desire to close the PS3 digital store so PS Now could well be the only place to experience PS1, 2 and 3 in years to come if you don't want to spend collectors pricing for rarer and rarer physical discs.

For years it was understandable why we didn't get this service as our online infrastructure was very bad but with the rollout of NBN services, streaming is now a viable option for gamers.

It is time for Sony Interactive Entertainment to do right by their Australian supporter base and bring us this service that we have waited for since it first launched on PS4 back in 2014.

There are hundreds of thousands of PlayStation gamers in Australia, more than enough to justify bringing it here.  I am asking for Sony to setup up servers locally in Australia and bring this service to us as soon as possible.
