DEFRA’s actions alone have created a ‘suspicion of disease’ in Geronimo, a healthy alpaca imported from New Zealand in 2017.

DEFRA had prior knowledge that giving multiple injections of tuberculin before the Camelid Enferplex blood test (known as priming) produces false-positive test results in healthy camelids. This happened to Geronimo in 2017 and DEFRA failed to declare this. Instead, they agreed to retest him "exceptionally". So, using their PRIOR KNOWLEDGE they forced him to have even more tuberculin knowing the result could be "interpreted" as positive. There was no choice, it was that or immediate slaughter. They created a "suspicion of disease" to destroy Geronimo in 2017.

This is abuse: of power, position, the law, science, camelid owners & Geronimo. We fight on for all camelids!

On July 29th 2021, Geronimo’s owner took this case back to The High Court but sadly it was dismissed and the judge upheld “the suspicion of disease”. This was the last chance for Geronimo and the judge re-issued a warrant for the slaughter of Geronimo to commence on the 5th August 2021.

The Prime Minister, George Eustice MP could overturn this. Geronimo needs your help, please.
