A 15 year old Burger King employee from Saint Monica, CA died of COVID-like symptoms after being forced to continue working, and her manager has allegedly blamed her transitional hormones for her death. Her coworkers say that fresh masks were not provided to them, social distancing was not enforced, the site's kitchens were not properly cleaned, and other coworkers displayed COVID-like symptoms, which were ignored by management. They are currently on strike and calling for a boycott of Burger King. I want Burger King to address these comments, to ensure the safety of BK employees and customers by investigating the Santa Monica restaurant, and to punish the manager for their transphobic comments.
