On Tue Sept 22 Ted Pilozow lost his life crossing Main St from the North Transit Garage after finishing his work shift. He was struck by a vehicle and tragically killed. This would not have happened and Ted would still be with us today if an official crosswalk was at this location.

Everyday citizens of the neighborhood and workers cross this roadway. The closest set of lights is Inkster and Main or Main and Smithfield which are 2 blocks in either direction.

For years citizens have been asking for a crosswalk at this busy location to safely cross this busy roadway. An official crosswalk with activated lights to warn drivers of people crossing the street would save lives and reduce traffic speed.
