A new wing for King George Hospital
A new wing for King George Hospital
Why this petition matters
We the undersigned who live or work in Redbridge note the following:
That BHRUT, the Trust responsible for managing Queens and King George Hospitals has reported as part of their clinical services strategy review HERE
“For example, at Queen’s Hospital, 99% of our inpatient beds are often occupied at any one time. This means we run in to problems if we have lots of emergency patients who need a bed and this can lead to planned operations and treatments being cancelled.”
and that:
Cllr Neil Zammett, Chair of Redbridge Health Scrutiny reported on 3rd October 2019 that following an investigation of BHRUT reporting of A&E four hour waits that there had probably been an “understatement” of figures reported since August 2018 HERE
And asks Redbridge Council:
To support the campaign for a new wing at King George for the growing East London populaton by:
1 - Writing to BHRUT to say that option of a new wing at King George be considered as part of their clinical services strategy.
2 - Writing to MPs and Councils in East London to canvas support for a new wing at King George.
3 - Publicise the cross party meeting at 3pm on 9th November at Ilford Town Hall campaigning for a new wing at King George on the Council website and support future events.
