El puerto de Paracas quiere transportar, almacenar y exportar concentrado de mineral, este contenido es altamente tóxico y todo el cargamento atravesaría por la Reserva Nacional de Paracas donde viven miles de especies, entre ellas, unas en peligro de extinción. Algunas de las especies más conocidas que habitan ahí son delfines, pingüinos, lobos de mar, flamencos, pelícanos, tortugas, etc. Es una zona de migración para más de 200 especies de aves de todo el mundo que han venido durante años, incluso desde antes de las culturas pre incaicas. Habitan 36 especies de mamíferos, 10 de reptiles, 168 de peces entre otras, volviendo este un ecosistema único y clave a nivel mundial.

El riesgo de fugas y volcaduras de camiones es muy alto en esta área, los accidentes no son extraños dentro de la reserva. Y los vientos de Paracas pueden llegar hasta a 70km/h. Si uno de estos camiones se vuelca o hay fugas en el manejo del material minero, que suelen ser frecuentes ya que no existe una tecnología 100% hermética, se generaría una catástrofe ambiental contaminando el ecosistema y a la población de Paracas y Pisco. The Paracas shipping port wants to transport, store, and export ore concentrate. This material is highly toxic. All this cargo will travel through the Paracas National Reserve in Peru where thousands of species, some in danger of extinction, live. The most well-known of these species include dolphins, penguins, sea lions, flamingos, pelicans, and sea turtles. Paracas has been a zone of migration for more than 200 species of birds from all around the world for years, dating back to before pre-Incan civilizations. 36 species of mammals, 10 species of reptiles, and 168 species of fish, among others, call the Paracas home, making it a key unique ecosystem at a global level. 

The risk of trucks leaking and overturning is very high; accidents are not uncommon in the reserve. Wind speeds in Paracas can reach up to 70 km/h. If one of these trucks used in the transport of ore concentrate tips over or leaks, which is frequent as 100% airtight technology does not exist, it could produce an environmental catastrophe by contaminating the ecosystem and populations of Paracas and neighboring city of Pisco.
