Please support the Synthetic pitch project at Mimosa Oval (Rofe Park)!

West Pymble Football Club (WPFC) is a local community organisation that allows people of all ages to engage in the team building, fun and fitness associated with sport.

WPFC no longer has adequate local sports ground facilities to cater for our growing base of 1,000 registered players – both male and female, age 5 to over 45, including special needs teams. For the best part of a decade the club’s members and Committee have raised funds and worked with Ku-ring-gai Council and the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) on a project to install a synthetic pitch on one of our home grounds.

A synthetic pitch on Mimosa Oval (Rofe Park) will allow more teams to train and play on a first-class, safer, synthetic playing surface; improving the football experience of junior and senior players within WPFC.  Other clubs in the NSFA – which includes approximately 17,000 registered players – as well as other sporting clubs, community groups and local residents will benefit from upgraded facilities that can be used all year round.

Football clubs are often restricted in accessing the existing natural turf ground at Mimosa Oval as it is often closed during the competition season due to wet weather and is typically in “recovery” during the football off-season and not able to be used.

Football clubs are a representation of our local communities and provide a wonderful opportunity for community engagement, physical activity and social connection. Please sign our petition to support this important community project.
