There has been a mixed reaction to our 2021 jersey designs. 

Bringing Canberra Milk back on board as our major sponsor was a much-anticipated development that brought excitement to Raiders fans everywhere. They are our most iconic sponsor as they adorned our jerseys though a defining era in the ‘90s. The groundswell of support for Canberra Milk to become our major sponsor again was no doubt abetted by the recent nickname "The Milk", a reference to the bold and recognisable lettering emblazoned on our jerseys from the past. "Up The Milk" has become a catch-cry for Raiders fans everywhere. 

The reaction to the release of our 2021 jerseys has been mixed, and thus, greatly disappointing when anticipated with such excitement. 

- Why is the 2021 "Heritage Jersey" not our home jersey? This jersey is not a nostalgic recreation of our heritage. This design is our jersey. It is a green jersey with the ACT-coloured striped armbands. We identify with this jersey. Changing that and using anything else is akin to The Dragons not using the "Red V" as their home jersey.  

- Though the "Home/Away" jersey's appeal is subjective. The general reaction to these designs seems to be tepid. With Canberra MIlk on board as our major sponsor for only a short period, this is greatly disappointing and it feels like a missed opportunity. There have been some truly strange and perplexing strips in recent memory; 2015's "lemon meringue pie", 2017's "NYC Future Cop", 2011's "Laser Prisoner" jersey. The 2021 jersey's with the current Canberra MIlk logo do not feel much different, they are odd, poorly designed, they are not an impassioned representation of our club, they are not our team colours. 

This petition is designed as general feedback for the club. Your support in signing will inform the club that they need to reconsider their approach to the jersey designs in the future and respect the integrity of our iconic jerseys that the fans IDENTIFY themselves with.
