Instead of reviving the classics, for now, I think stand-alone films (possibly linked through Carrey, OH) based upon the original mazes created by the Halloween Horror Nights teams could be a hit, especially if some of them keep to that grindhouse-retro style and others impose a dark and stormy atmosphere, similar to the Universal horror classics of old.
